Acadmic Visit of B.Arch UET Lahore
UET Lahore
2nd Year Students Visit Our Ongoing Projects at 490G & 701K,
DHA Phase 6
Design Teachers:
Dr. Hina Nabeel & Ar. Zamurd
We were delighted to host the 2nd year Architecture students from UET Lahore for an educational visit to our ongoing residential projects, 490G and 701K in DHA Phase 6. This visit was curated to give students a close look at real-time construction techniques, onsite decision-making, and the design-to-execution workflow that shapes contemporary architecture.
A Hands-On Learning Experience
Students engaged in an interactive outdoor discussion with our architects and team, where they learned about:
- Practical challenges of executing luxury residential designs
- Structural planning and material selection
- Landscape integration and spatial connectivity
- Interior planning aligned with client lifestyle and modern architectural requirements
The session encouraged students to ask questions, explore ideas, and understand how conceptual drawings evolve into built spaces.
Exploring the 701K & 490G Residences
- At 701K, students observed the site’s completed zones, including façade design, circulation planning, and landscaped outdoor areas.
- At 490G, they witnessed ongoing work, a valuable opportunity to learn about timelines, coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration during different construction phases.
A Step Toward Bridging Academia & Practice
Such visits are part of our commitment to fostering young talent and helping architecture students experience the realities of professional practice. It was inspiring to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they connected classroom knowledge with on-ground architectural development.
A Real-Time Exploration of Architecture in Progress
Unlike typical classroom lessons, this site visit allowed students to walk through actual construction zones, observe live work, and understand how design decisions materialize into built structure. The students explored each component of the sites under the guidance of our project team, who explained:
- Structural planning and load-bearing decisions
- Space planning and how layouts evolve on-site
- Interior zoning, natural light flow, and circulation patterns
- Foundation work, beam placement, and column alignment
- Façade details, material applications, and finishing selections
- Landscape integration, softscape & hardscape development
The intention was to expose students to the real environment where architecture happens, a dynamic space of coordination, problem-solving, and creativity.
Interactive Discussions & Professional Insights
The outdoor session at 701K included an interactive discussion where our architects and site supervisors shared insights about:
- Managing large-scale residential projects
- Balancing aesthetics with functionality
- On-site challenges and how teams resolve them
- The role of client requirements in shaping design
- Workflow between architects, designers, engineers, and contractors
Students asked questions, participated actively, and gained clarity on the difference between theoretical drawings and on-ground execution.
